About Anna

Anna Gigliotti-Skret (she/her), COMS, ROMSA, GDMI


Graduating in 2002 as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Anna later undertook additional specialised training as a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor. 


With extensive experience training people (and at times, also their dogs) to create happy, harmonious and mutually rewarding connections, working in several Australian states both regionally and in metropolitan locations, as well as industry experiences overseas (Croatia, Germany, Japan, Poland, Romania).


Striving to be inclusive of all people regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or ability, Anna has a caring,  relaxed and professional approach to her work which is demonstrated by effective client outcomes and enthusiastic reviews

  

Industry sector experience includes aged care, animal care, contact centres, disability, hospitality and community recreation. Anna is a Registered and Certified O&M Specialist and is a current member of OMAA (Orientation and Mobility Association of Australasia). Having completed the Australian Government Department of Health Covid 19 training, 2020, currently volunteering as an instructor at Canine Behavioural School in Felixstowe, Adelaide.  In 2020 Anna completed studies led by Dr Susan Friedman, Living and Learning with Animals: The Science and Technology of Behaviour Change. She graduated as a Certified Training Partner with the Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional program, 2021. Anna maintains up to date vaccinations for Covid 19 and influenza. 


Based in the South Fremantle, Western Australia, Anna can be available interstate and regionally via arrangement. She is available for distance consults via phone, Zoom or Facetime and can coach you in how to get the most benefit from a distance consult.
